Duration 01 — 1 Second

1 second CPS test.

The one-second test is the sprint of click speed testing. There is no endurance to hide behind: whatever your hand can produce in 60 frames, that is your number. Most players score 7–10 CPS here with a single finger, and 12+ with butterfly or jitter technique — but the 1 second score is a burst, not a skill, so treat it as the ceiling of your hand, not your average.

Resposta Rápida

A 1 second CPS test measures the maximum number of clicks you can land in a single second — total clicks divided by one. It is the purest burst-speed measurement in click gaming: short enough to hide fatigue, long enough to expose raw hand speed.

Because the timer starts on your first click, the one-second window is fully yours. The zone registers mouse clicks, right clicks and spacebar presses, so you can compare input styles: many players are surprised that their spacebar burst beats their mouse burst, or vice versa.

Run it three times and take the best score. Burst tests are noisy — a single mistimed click costs a full CPS at this length — and the best-of-three number is the one that represents your hand.

Why 1 second is the purest burst test

At one second, technique barely matters and raw hand speed rules. Fatigue is zero, rhythm barely registers, and the only variable is how many micro-repetitions your fingers can fire. That makes it the best diagnostic on the site: if your 1 second burst is 8 CPS but your 10 second average is 4, the problem is endurance, not speed.

It is also the duration used for the most extreme claims in click-speed communities. Drag-click bursts above 25 CPS are measured at one second because no human can hold that output longer. When you see "30 CPS" quoted in a record, it is almost always a one-second burst — which is why the world record cps in 1 second is the most-quoted number in click gaming.

How to read your 1s score

Compare against the ladder: 0–3 Turtle, 3–5 Beginner, 5–7 Average, 7–9 Fast, 9–11 Pro, 11–14 Elite, 14+ Inhuman. At one second, Elite and Inhuman are reachable with solid butterfly or jitter technique — but remember the burst-versus-consistency caveat before you quote it in a lobby.

The honest use of the 1s test is tracking hand speed over weeks. Your 10-second average can plateau while your 1s burst keeps climbing — that tells you your endurance is the bottleneck, and long-duration training (see the 30 and 60 second tests) is the fix.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is a 1 second cps test?

A 1 second CPS test measures the maximum number of clicks you can land in a single second — total clicks divided by one.

Why is the 1s burst the most-quoted record duration?

Because drag clicking sustains for barely a second. Bursts above 25 CPS are only measurable at one second, so the record claims you see — like "30 CPS" — are almost always 1s bursts. The 1s test measures the ceiling, not the average.

How many 1s runs should I do?

Best of three. A single mistimed click costs a full CPS at this length, so one noisy run means nothing. Three runs, take the best — that is the number your hand really produces.
