Keyboard speed is real gaming skill. Rhythm games, typing benchmarks and games with key-bind-heavy rotations all reward taps per second, and a keyboard cps test is the honest measurement of that axis. It is also the closest thing to a hardware-neutral test on the site.
Because the listener is global, you can tap on any key without focusing the zone — which also means the test doubles as a fun group game: each player picks a key and compares scores in the same session.
The keyboard axis of click speed
